Your Community Movers
2 College Brothers, Inc. takes pride in community involvement and giving back to the beautiful Gainesville and Tampa area. We like moving furnitures, but we love moving lives.
2 College Brothers helped the Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity at the University of Florida in its efforts to help improve the holidays for less fortunate children. In the event dubbed “Build a Better Holiday”, residents of the community were encouraged to come out and design stuffed bears donated by Build a Bear. The event raised closed to $30,000, which was also donated to Toys for Tots. 2 College Brothers was in charge of transporting the hundreds of bears to be given out to the children!
April 2012: Clothing Drives at FSU & UCF
Much like the toy drive conducted at the University of Florida around the holiday season, a clothing drive was held both at Florida State University and University of Central Florida.
December 2011: Toy Drive at UF
2 College Brothers moving company toy drive in Gainesville, FL at the University of Florida:
In the spirit of the holidays, 2 College Brothers, a student-run moving company, held a campus-wide toy drive at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida. However, this was not your typical toy drive; it was conducted as a contest between sixteen Greek sororities. Of course, every contest involves a prize. So, 2 College Brothers offered the winners a free move-out for their entire sorority house, a service valued at over $4,250, as incentive for collecting the most toys amongst all the sororities.
November 2011: Sand Volleyball Tournament
2 College Brothers helped sponsor a sand volleyball tournament at the University of Florida that benefitted orphaned children born with cleft lip and palate. All proceeds were donated to the Love Without Boundaries Foundation.
June 2011: Send Your Child to Summer Camp Contest
We helped send a child to summer camp by sponsoring the winning family with a $300 check! With the help of 2 College Brothers, Mariah, our winner, was able to attend a ballet summer camp. Each participant in the contest was required to submit a photo of their child relating to their favorite sport or activity. The winner was determined by discovering which child’s photo generated the most “likes” on our Facebook page. The contest was followed by a BBQ celebration in which the 2 College Brothers crew, the winning family, and friends came out to enjoy a sunny day at the park.
