Asbury Lake is a small unincorporated community and Census-Designated Place (CDP) in Clay County, FL. Asbury Lake is known for its three man-made lakes—Lake Asbury, South Lake Asbury, and Lake Ryan. The largest lake in the CDP is the 111-acre, Lake Asbury, which is a great place to fish or enjoy other aquatic activities like boating, swimming, and water skiing.  South Lake Asbury and Ryan Lake are also swimmable, fishable, and boatable! Although Asbury Lake is its own CDP, everywhere in the CDP will have a Green Cove Springs address.

Asbury Lake has an interesting history: the legendary Lynnard Skynarrd wrote many of their most popular songs at the Hell House, an old house on Lake Asbury, FL.

Lake Asbury, Florida is an expansive lake-front neighborhood in Asbury Lake—the neighborhood is built around the three lakes in the CDP. The homes in the neighborhood are waterfront or across the street. All homes have lake access through their own dock, and if you don’t own a waterfront home, there is a community boat ramp only residents have access to.

Most homes are nestled on a large lot (around 1 acre) and boast a pleasant ambiance, embodying old-florida and all its natural beauty. Lake Absury, Florida is a golf cart-friendly community where your neighbors will likely become your best friends. While homes can be pricey, the monthly HOA fee is minimal ($4). If you’re looking for lakefront property, you can’t get much better than the neighborhood of Lake Asbury.
